There’s just something about the music of Advent and Christmas! It is rich with memories of Christmas pageants, caroling, Christmas movies, and maybe even family gatherings around the piano. That music is also so very rich with theology, inviting us into the hopeful expectation of the coming of Jesus two thousand years ago, his return in the future, and Jesus’s coming to us, even today.
This year, the Adult Education and Discipleship Committee has invited members of our church family to share their reflections on Advent and Christmas hymns and carols. We hope that you spend some time prayerfully reflecting on the hymns themselves in addition to reading the reflections on them.
