Church Basketball

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church Basketball Registration! We will be participating in both the Spartanburg Church League and the YMCA League for the 2026-2027 basketball season. Registration will be open October 1-October 26. There will be a $10 late fee for any registrations received after the deadline. 

Registration is open for both boys and girls in grades 1st-12th, and will be open to both members and non-members of First Presbyterian Church. In the event of a waitlist, priority will be given to First Presbyterian Church members. 

Our registration fee for this season will be $90/player. This year, only one form is required when registering multiple children. Please see the information and links below to sign up and pay. Rosters, practice times, and schedules will be sent out once registration concludes.

Practices for all divisions are tentatively scheduled to begin the week of November 9. Draft Night will be held Saturday, November 5 for coaches only.

YMCA League (Divisions are 7th-8th; 9th-10th, 11th-12th)

  • Practices on either Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday
  • Games will be held evenings on the same weeknight at local churches or the YMCA.
  • Games are scheduled to start in November.

As a reminder, if your child tries out, makes, and chooses to play for his or her school team, he or she will be ineligible to participate in church basketball. In this event, your registration fee will be refunded to you.

Spartanburg Church League

  • Practice begins in November and will be held on either Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.
  • Games will be held on Saturday mornings at local churches.
  • Games are scheduled to start in December.

Intro to Basketball Class

Looking for a chance to try out basketball before joining a team? Come be part of one of our Intro to Basketball sessions on October 12 (for girls) and October 13 (for boys). Both sessions will meet in the gym from 5:30-6:30pm.
