When you do good deeds, don’t try to show off. If you do you won’t get a reward from your Father in heaven… When you give to the poor, don’t let anyone know about it. Then your gift will be given in secret. Your Father knows what is done in secret and will reward you. Matthew 6:1, 3-4

Changing the paraments in the sanctuary, putting  a glass of water on the pulpit for the minister, watering the poinsettias during Advent, ordering special bulletins, putting notices in the newspaper when needed, fixing candles for Christmas Eve, setting up communion, watering all the plants, ordering and refilling bulletin boards, making sure a hundred and one little things are done that make everything in the church run smoothly. Who takes care of all these things in your church—a committee? Several committees?

At Second Pres the answer is Carole Tillotson. Carole and her husband Tommy have been members for many years. Between them they take care of numerous small details, and no one else knows, but the results speak volumes!

Both Carole and Tommy have rather major medical issues, but you never hear them complain or say they can’t do anything. Rather, they do everything they think is necessary. We thank God for blessing us with this wonderful, thoughtful, hard-working couple!
