About A Way Home
A Way Home, formerly Spartanburg Interfaith Hospitality Network (SPIHN), is returning to help our neighbors in need! This rotational model hosts families experiencing homelessness in different churches while they work with a case manager to find permanent housing. First Presbyterian Church will host families four times yearly, and we need many hands to help!
Our 2025 Rotations are:
- July 6-13
- September 14-21
- November 16-23
See below the current opportunities to serve A Way Home at FPC.

A trailer has been donated to A Way Home to move the cots from church to church. The City of Spartanburg requires volunteers who tow to have a waiver on their auto insurance that covers them when towing commercial equipment. The trailer is about 17 feet long with a double axle. If you are willing to tow the trailer on Sunday, July 6th, please contact Rhonda Dickerson.
Training and a background check are REQUIRED for all volunteers who will come in contact with guests. Please click the button below to complete a Background Check Authorization.
Rhonda Dickerson will be available for training on the following dates. Please email her and let her know if you will be attending. The meetings will be held in the Small Private Dining Room in the Family Life Center and will not take long.
