First Presbyterian Church hosts a neighborhood meal ministry on the second, third and fourth Tuesday of every month. Staring at 5:00 pm community members can come enjoy dinner prepared and served by both volunteers from the congregation and other community groups. The Neighborhood Meal Ministry is housed in the Arthur Center, located in the parking lot behind the Family Life Center along Kennedy Street.
John Tatham, volunteer with the Neighborhood Meal Ministry says, “Each week, we average between 30 and 40 guests along with 10 to 12 volunteers. Some of the folks are homeless, some are low on resources; all have shown kindness and appreciation.”
