Grant Cycle is Now Open Through December 3, 2021

First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg is grateful to serve with you in building a more just and loving world in God’s name. We appreciate the important work that you do, and we pray for your ministry throughout the year.

Each year a congregational Mission Committee reviews requests for financial support for many causes. Please carefully read the following information.

  • Funding will be granted to organizations serving Spartanburg County residents in one of the four focus areas of the Faith Initiative to End Poverty: Early Childhood Readiness, Generational Literacy, Living Wage, and/or Neighborhood Isolation. For a description of these areas, please see the attached Request for Proposals.
  • Applying for funding, or receiving prior funding, does not guarantee that the organization will receive a grant.
  • You may be contacted by a member of the Local Missions Committee for a site visit after applications are received and initially evaluated.
  • All grantees will need to submit a nine-month progress report.

If your organization/project addresses one of these four focus areas, we invite you to apply for a grant in our 2022 cycle. Please read the request for proposals for additional instructions and grant requirements.

How to Apply

Submit your online grant request no later than December 3,2021.

If you have questions or would like to obtain a paper copy of the grant request form, please contact Caroline Goodman at cgoodman@fpcspartanburg.org.

We invite you to an informational session via Zoom Tuesday, November 2 from 4:00-5:00pm. This will be a time to learn more about the focus of the grant cycle and to ask questions before submitting an application. Please RSVP to Caroline Goodman at cgoodman@fpcspartanburg.org.
