If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Our Almighty God is omniscient, all powerful, and completely in control. Prayer, as simple as it may seem, is an incredible gift that God has given His people. I often experience God through prayer. Sometimes that experience brings me a definite answer to a question or situation that I am struggling with. At other times, I do not get any definite answers, but I feel very much at peace. And sometimes, God says “No” or even “Wait!” (That’s the hardest answer for me!) Scripture promises us that God will hear and respond to our prayers. When I make time to pray, when I listen carefully for answers to prayer, and when I give credit to God for responses to prayer, then I experience and give thanks for the presence of God.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for listening and responding to my prayers. Show me the way to worship you, to follow Jesus, and to be inspired by the Holy Spirit.
