KINDERGARTEN READING TUTORS NEEDED - FALL 2021 - THE CLEVELAND ACADEMY OF LEADERSHIP

With very low enrollment in 4K this school year, due to COVID, Cleveland is anticipating many Kindergarten students entering school for the first time this fall, with no prior pre-school experience. In order to ensure all students get the best academic start, we are hoping to build a team of volunteer tutors throughout the school morning to work with students one on one with letter identification, letter sounds, and sight words. As well as read aloud to students in a one on one setting.

Description: Volunteer would be paired with a group of Kindergarten students to tutor throughout the fall semester. They would work with one to three students on basic letter identification, letter sounds, and sight words. Teacher would provide the activities for the volunteer to lead. One on one read aloud would also be a part of the time with the student.

Time Commitment: one hour/week (or more if you are able to serve more), September 2021 - December 2021, tutoring time would take place in between 8:30am - 10:30am on school days.
